There are quite a few, very detailed spice scenes and some other steamy scenes sprinkled throughout. A lot of talk about spice and innuendos.
Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Romantasy

My Review:
I had a hard time trying to decide what to rate this because I personally don’t think smut is a necessary thing to the plot, it always brings me out of the story. I honestly think I would’ve liked this so much more if it didn’t feel partly like the story was written around the smut.
There were parts of this story I enjoyed. I liked being in Cassian’s point of view after knowing him in the other books. Getting to see more of him and more into his thoughts was really cool. The whole story line of this one was also really interesting to follow. The magical house that would respond to Nesta and the whole training arc was just what I wanted from this one.
That being said, I felt like Nesta in the other books and in the beginning of this one just did a 180 in the middle of the book and it didn’t feel super realistic. I didn’t love her as a character in the other books and I still don’t feel much for her in this one.
Overall, this was an interesting story but if you’re not super into this series, you don’t like smut, or you don’t care to learn more about Nesta, I would go ahead and skip this one.
