This book features impressive world-building and excellent character development, keeping me on my toes with unexpected plot twists. It's a true epic fantasy with a lot of steamy content and frequent sexual references, alongside themes of purity. The story is rich with deception and mystery, and the narrative is gripping with heart-stopping scenes and well-timed reveals, making it hard to put down.
Starting with a steamy scene, the book quickly dives into a brutal story that draws you in. It includes a slow-burn romance, spicy moments, and plenty of action. However, some heavy scenes related to sexual assault and abuse might be triggering for some readers. These scenes, while intense, serve to deepen the story rather than just shock.
If you enjoy high fantasy with elements of gods and vampire-like references, this series might be perfect for you. The book is filled with dramatic twists, heartbreaking moments, and skillful storytelling that keeps you captivated. Although it didn't quite reach the level of exceptional or unique, it was still compelling enough to make me eager to read the sequel.
