My Review:

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi is a captivating and unique read that grips you from the start. The novel follows Juliette, a young woman with a dangerous touch, as she navigates a world where she’s been treated as a threat rather than a person. Mafi’s poetic writing style, with its frequent repetitions and intense emotional depth, beautifully captures Juliette’s internal struggles and growth.

Juliette is a complex character whose journey from isolation to connection is both heart-wrenching and inspiring. The romance, while sweet, may seem a bit rushed at times, but it adds an engaging layer to the story. As Juliette evolves, so do her relationships, making her journey all the more compelling. Warner, another intriguing character, adds depth and mystery to the plot, and I found myself eagerly wanting to learn more about him. The character development throughout the book is remarkable, with each character becoming increasingly fascinating.

While the dystopian world might feel familiar to some, it becomes more engaging and detailed as the series progresses. If you’re a fan of poetic prose and deep character exploration, Shatter Me is a must-read. Tahereh Mafi’s unique storytelling will draw you in, and you’ll find yourself hooked and eager to continue the journey through the rest of the series.
